Microsoft Office 2010 getting started
HI, I'm a middle aged mum. I have just got a new computer with Office preinstalled but when I click on it it says you must have a valid product key, which i have. Im scared to press the yes button when it asks do you want to make changes to your computer throug out of box helper. Is it safe to press yes?

Any software installation needs to make a range of changes to your PC. The prompt is there as one of the safeguards protecting you against unauthorised changes by viruses and the like. If it's in response to the Office installer, it's safe to OK.
