Hi Guys
am in poccession of my new office 2007 suite, am currently running 2002, do I need to completely uninstall 2002 first or can I just run 2007 install & it will overright as it installs? this will go onto an XP Pro computer & then a Vista Home Premium...................... although am looking at upgrading to vista business or ultimate, with this again I'm not sure if I can just overright the old VHB with the new Bus or ULT version or whether I have to completely reformate the HDD first? any help very gratefully received. New Install of 2007
Pete,
When you install Office 2007 there will be a prompt that will allow you to upgrade the current version of Office software on your computer. Once you choose upgrade, the new 2007 software will automatically write over the old software currently residing on your computer. |

So when you do a download like that, new version over an existing version, does that retain all the old email?
Thx! |

Hi Ckingfly,
All the old user files and settings are retained. Do note that, if you choose to retain your old Office version, Office will only allow you to have one version of Outlook installed.
