I am trying to install office 7 but facing the product key error.
I applied the given key in the setup several times but it did not work.
Anyone please tell me the problem...

Where are you installing from - a genuine Office DVD or a download from MS or one of its partners? What product key are you using - one that came on the Office DVD case or one supplied MS or one of its partners? Are you sure the product key is for the edition you're installing?

I am Installing it from DVD

There's no need to supply the actual Product Key (I've deleted it for privacy and anti-piracy reasons).

Does your PC have any other Office versions/editions installed (eg a Office 2007 trial or Office 2003)? Is your product key for an upgrade version, or a fresh install?

Yeah it has office 2003.

OK, you should be able to install Office 2007 alongside Office 2003 (except for Outlook - only one version can exist at a time), or as a replacement.

I take it you are using the Office 2007 product key, and not the Office 2003 one ... What error message, if any does the installer report?

I uninstalled office 2003 and now I have just office 7.
and it is working but it is not opening the previous version ( 2003 ) file.
Now what should I do?

Office 2007 should open Previous versions' files without difficulty. Which Office application are you having trouble with?

Message comes
This message comes only when I try to Excel file my words files are opening quickly.

Try repairing Office, via Excel Options|Resources|Diagnose.

I after repairing, my problem is solved.
Now it is opening all kind of files of MOS Office including Excel...
