Angry Office 2010 Blank screen

We have recently installed office 2010 on 125's pc in a network enviroment. The problem we are getting is when a student logs in and they try to open word, excel powerpoint etc the program starts to load and then the screen goes blank. moving the mouse doesnt wake the screen up. the only way you can get your display back is by pressing CTRL ALT DELETE and then pressing escape. That works for a short time but then it can happen again without warning. Each time a student logs in it brings up the recommended setting splash screen doesnt matter which one you choose it just keeps on coming back. i have tried a surgestion that if you turn that part off it will resolve the display issue but it doesnt. I am not concerned about the recomended updates part as we use a wusus server to manage our updates. i have tried also updating the graphics card driver but this hasn't helped either. We are using the intel motherboard with a G31/G33 chipset. Has anyone else had this problem if so can some one give me a resolution. We have also applied all office 2010 updates. Thanks for your time in reading this.
