I have a project where I have data stored in access, query it and display in excel because it is the file type that is convenient for most others. I have images that I want to be referenced and pulled into excel that can be locked to cell so it can be sorted with the rest of the data.

Is there a way to pull the photos from a file or table in another location, i.e. Excel file or access table/query?

Also converting to Mac, so will take any hints about running excel or access on virtual machine (parallels 7).

Thanks

Hi Uofahogs,

I don't believe this can be done using Excels standard tools. Pictures can be set to move and size with cells however they are not linked to a cell. The only suggestion I could make is use a hyperlink to the image. That way, if you sort the data the hyperlink will sort too.

I hope this helps
