Default 2 versions of word

I have now succeeded in installing two versions of Office - well Office 2007 H&S and Word 97. This is possible if you change the path under a custom installation- using two seperate folders. (The register entry for Office/Word 97 is Office 8.0 and Office 2007 is Office 12).

However, I am wondering how stable this is? Word 97 refers back to setup but works fine. Word 2007 re-configures every time it is opened but appears fine. (If I change the DWord in the registry. I could solve this. But this does not bother me for the time being). My current issue is will these two pieces of software run in parallel without problems? I am aware that it is possible to run multiple version of Office and problem free.
