Default Filtering past or future events in DRW query criteria

I use DRW to display an ordered calendar of event in table from an Excel spreadsheet.
I wish now to present these events in 2 table,
- one displaying past events since now
- one displaying future events from now
I hoped I could just compare the date filed to the current system date, but it does not apear to be so easy
- I did not find such ready to use built-in system variable, nor I found how to easily create it
- Id did not found any simple way to compare a field content with a variable content instead of a hard coded value.
I use FP 2003

Thanks for help

I tried the following, which doen't work :

Included just bello the <head> tag :

<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
var CurrentDate = new Date();
// -->
</script>

the query generated in FP webbot is :

fp_sQry="SELECT * FROM ""Planning"" WHERE (Date IS NOT NULL AND Date < '::CurrentDate::') ORDER BY Date ASC"
