SERVER 2002 EXTENSIONS ISSUE
Thank you for any advice you might have to offer me. I am having a problem determining if SE2002 is extended to my local server. Supposedly when it installed it would automatically extend to my default website. I originally used SE2000 to create a discussion subweb but it did not work which I found out is due to SE2000 not supporting a discussion web. So I upgraded to SE2002 which gave me a “server is too old and not compatible” message while installing but then said installed successfully. I am running XPMCE ,IIS 5.1 and local hosting my site. My webpage works fine just not with any SE2002 supported items. I can access the sharepoint administrator after altering the security/authentication settings in IIS mmc. However, when I try to select my virtual server, which is listed, in the administrator I get the following error with the following script
HTTP 404 - File not found Internet Information Services http://192.168.1.101/_vti_bin/_vti_a...e=webadmin.htm Is the webadmin.htm page supposed to be located some place it isn’t for some reason? I tried copying the webadmin.htm page to the following directories to no avail C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\40\_vti_bin\_vti_adm And C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\50\isapi\_vti_adm Any ideas? Thanks |
