Default Alignment off once form is submitted

I have a field in a short form that I have set to expand to show all text. The field is 206px by 529px.

After submission, the field resizes to the text, and the cell center aligns.

Is there a way to have the field retain the default size (206x529), retain the left alignment, but still expand as needed?
