I unable to backup my Exchange server database...What gives?
My Exchange server 2010 got a corruption because of several power outages and shut downs as a result. I thought it works fine now, it seems so, but Exec message told me that I unable to backup the database due to the corruption. What corruption can it be? And how can I fix it? I don`t want to rebuild the whole server

Did you use any eseutil options? You gave not much specific information and it is difficult a little bit to judge about the problem..huh
At first check your database shutdown state - clean or dirty? For this run eseutil /mh command. And according to the result use eseutil /ml or eseutil /r or mazbe another one. Exchange should find and recover all the problems after clean shutdown, as i remember. Dismount your database and replace your log files to another folder, Exchange must create a new log file. Then you make mount and save backup, i think. It is some basic tips, but the can help or not, i am not sure. Also try to find more information about the problem in official forums, ms, for instance. https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Fo...rum=outlookdev This also can help in issue. So, good luck, hope you will find a solution. |
