Default SQL problem condition on select

Can someone please help me modify this statement I have been trying for hours

select "Material", COUNT (*) from "dbo"."FinishedGoods" group by "Material"

I have another column named "TimeStamp" I only want the records after a certain date in the count. I am new to infopath and sql
