Can Word automatically do "Finish and Merge" after opening file?
Hi,
This is my first post here. I'm writing an ASP .NET application which downloads a Word document to the client. The document is set up to pull data from SQL and do a mail merge. This works and the user sees the merged document. The problem is that I want it to automatically do a "Finish and Merge". When the user saves the document, I want them to save the final merged document so that if they reopen it, they get what they saved, and not the latest data from SQL. Is there a way to get Word to automatically do "Finish and Merge" and give them the final, merged document? Thanks, Dave |

Hi Dave
I am sure this is possible but you would have to use VBA. I suggest you re-post this in the VBA section of the forum. Good luck. Tony(OTPM) |
