how do i ad a specific pdf file to a mail merge?

using the mail merge i want to add a feild that will be the location of a pdf file on my computer and i want it to print the letter as well as that file.

In general, you can only insert a one-page PDF into a Word document for viewing. If it's the same document for all merge records, you should insert it into the mailmerge main document.
