Default Does Mail Merge Copy Macros to final document

I have the 'master' mail merge document - in which there is a macro.

If the user merges data, and produces the final Word document will it also copy the macro into each finished Word letter.

If not is there a way to achieve this.

I would have assumed that if the master contains macros it would be a docm file but the resulting created files would be docx in which case they DO NOT contain macros.

If this is not the case, then you could make the master a docx and put the macro in an attached template instead.

As Andrew affirms a merged document will not contain macros. If you wish to explore his suggestion of sending a macro enabled document or macro enabled template with a covering message, you could investigate E-Mail Merge Add-in, however the attachment will not contain your merged data. What was the purpose of the macro?
