Default IncludePicture with Mergefield

Hi everyone,

I have been trying all different combinations and I can't get anything to work.

I get an error depending on the method I run Error! Filename not specified.

Other times I get the nothing to appear.

I have a mergefield set to {MERGEFIELD mem_number \* MERGEFORMAT } and this works just fine. I get the appropriate Mem_number from the field

Now what I would like to do is pull an image from a specific directory. I've done the following:

{INCLUDEPICTURE "C:\\TEMP\\{MERGEFIELD mem_number}.jpg" \* MERGEFORMAT}

this does not work. when I do an ALT+F9 to see what the path is I only get c:\temp\.jpg

Its dropping the mergefield.

If anyone can figure this out, I would greatly appreciate the help. thank you

You need the correct syntax for it to work i.e.

{INCLUDEPICTURE "{IF TRUE "C:\\Temp\\{Mergefield FieldName}.jpg"}" \d }

This is all explained in the Mailmerge Tips & Tricks 'Sticky' thread at the top of this forum:
