I have ton of folders need to be labeled, each folder differently have its proper DATA (text and numbers), which need to be typed one by one.
I need to add sequential numbers beside or under that each DATA on each single label. The fact I was able do it by creating excel file and applied it to my Word file. But the problem when I update (Update Labels), each of the DATA got replaced by the first DATA of the first label. Any effort would be appreciated. Tanks Millwood. |

If your data and the numbers are in an Excel data file, you could simply merge the numbers and associated data to labels - Mail Merge Labels
If you just want numbers on labels - see Numbered Labels

Thanks for the answer,
I just typed the DATA and the sequential numbers in excel, so the DATA also comes with 3 inputs in 2 rows (a text+ serial numbers and code numbers),the third row for the sequential numbers, when run the in excel (Ctrl+Drag the fill handle), it only duplicates it (third row). it might because many numbers in a same cell (serial num, code num and sequent num.). |

To do a basic mail merge, you need everything variable for a single label to be in one row. In mailmerge terms, each row is a separate record.
These must be big labels. |
