Default Convert text to phone number in merge


I am importing data from excel for phone numbers that is is formatted as follows: +1 2345678910. I cannot figure out how to use a swith to format to (234) 567-8910? Can you help?

You would use a "picture switch."
\# "(###)-###-####"
Field Switches and Pictures

That will handle the phone number but not the +1. If possible use a helper column in your Excel to strip that out and use that helper column as your data source.
