Default Mail Merge with Excel Named Range

Can I do a mail merge from a Named Range in an Excel spreadsheet? I tried it and included column headings in my named range, but Word wasn't able to match my column headings to my merge field. Any ideas?

I tried again and now it works. It helps if you save the Excel file after you define the Named Range.
