IF statements in mail merge with results displayed based on date of letter
Hi,
I would like to develop some IF statements within a mail merge that display results based on if a date is greater or less than the date the letter is produced? For example {if date letter is produced <=13/11/19 then "example text 1"} {if date letter is produced >13/11/19 but <=29/2/2020 then "example text 2"} {if date letter is produced >29/2/2020 but <=6/6/2020 then "example text 3"} Is this possible at all and what would be the code? The date letter is produced field would be the Insert>date and Time field within the Insert menu. Hope that makes sense. Andy |

To see how to do this and just about everything else you might want to do with dates in Word, check out my Microsoft Word Date Calculation Tutorial, a 'Sticky' thread at the top of the Word forum:
Microsoft Word Date Calculation Tutorial In particular, look at the item titled Use Date (And/Or Time) Comparisons To Vary Text. Do read the document's introductory material.
