Question Summary page of totals?

Is it possible to just print a summary page of the total number of merge records and the totals for each "group"?

For instance if I have a dataset that was sorted by a field called "group" that had three values, can you print out 1 page that would show

Total number of records: 9
Records in Group1: 2
Records in Group2: 5
Records in Group3: 2

Is my question too basic?
I can't add any rows to the data source. Could I do this by incrementing a series of bookmarks? Is there a way to use the DATABASE field to create them? I've never used it before and I don't have much VBA experience but I do learn by example.
