Mailmerge sends sometimes with text and others in blank
Hello!
I hope someone can help me with this predicament: I've been using mailmerge to send an attached information to 600 users, but some of them are missing the text and only keeping the colored background. When it sends correctly, it looks like the attached example A01 when the sent message goes wrong, it looks like the attached example A02 This happens randomly, it can send correctly to 5, then miss the text at the following 12, then sending correctly again to 2 and so on. I'm sending this email to 50 users at a time (every 1 hour), the way i build the email was adding two square shapes, the one in front with the text and the other behind with the picture, I group them, and send them. the first batch of 50, 7 came out wrong, the next one had 19, then 30 and the final batches only 2 came out correctly Restarting word fixes the issue, but i'm not completely sure that's the solution. I went with a lower batch of 10 users at a time (max 50 per hour) and 599 out of 600 emails came out well. I appreciate the help! (sorry for my english, not my native language) |

Without actually seeing the problem document, it can be difficult for anyone to diagnose the issue. Can you attach a document to a post with some representative data (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab at the bottom of this screen.

Thank you Macropod for your reply!
I added the excel file i'm using for the emails (withought the actual emails or important information), but i can't upload the word since it's larger than 500 kb. Here's the link to the word file i'm using: https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?c...wNKBB705dRcxPk If i had to guess it might just be the file being overloaded. but perhaps i'm missing something. |

The problem is undoubtedly related to the fact your document's surrounding logo is an image with a wrap format set to 'in front of text' and grouped with a textbox in which your actual text appears. Try the attached, which uses a table plus cropped header/footer images to replicate your layout.

I tried using different formats like you, but whenever I mailmerge it they come out wrong like in the attached file. (this is what it shows on Gmail and outlook using your file)
The only way for it to not change its format is by grouping the text box and the image. i'm still trying to find ways to fix it, but so far, the previous file works whenever i don't abuse the quantity of senders. Thank you so much for your time if i find another way i'll post it here too |

Try the attached. If it still has issues, try changing the wrapping to in-line and, if necessary, adjusting the page margins.

This works beautifully!
i will have to test it out on a next batch of emails and hope for the lower background image to not cover the text if it's too long. (if the file decides to mess up again) it might not be soon, but i will share my experience once i send once again to a big pile of emails. Thank you for your time and effort <3 |
