How about you try the code I posted before asserting "there is only one clear solution", which isn't the one I've provided. The approach in the link is most certainly not the only clear solution...

I've tried your code or course. Even if it seems to be better than my initial code, I still get : Montr饌l I've try this and it did not works too: ActiveWorkbook.WebOptions.Encoding = msoEncodingOEMCanadianFrench I am completely stuck. |

In that case, it's a problem with your system; the process works just fine here. Have you actually examined the content of the CSV file to see whether it contains Montr饌l or Montréal - which I suggested you should do in post #12?
Also try repairing the Office installation (via Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair).
