cascaded mailmerge
Hi there!
I have a rather annoying problem with some kind of a cascaded mailmerge. The document should be printed at our service provider, which also does the franking. So they can't run VBA or any special things. I have got a word-document with a two-page cover letter (part A) and eight subsequent pages (part B), i. e. a total of 10 pages. The mail merge has 100 copies in total. I wrote the serial letter into a new document, which now has 1,000 pages. I had to do this because part B had to be reworked with a VBA script (columns had to be colored according to their value, work-arounds/hacks were not possible). I added new fields to part A after merging via VBA because the mailroom has to feed the addresses (privacy stuff). However, if I generate a new mail merge letter, the 1,000 pages will of course be repeated for every hundred copies. Anybody have any idea how I can work this out? Unfortunately, the mail service is not allowed to run VBA and cannot process PDF files. Best, Lars-Daniel |

Not solved, but can be closed, since I need to change the concept.
