4 to a page template with merge fields
I downloaded a template for 4 to a page postcards. I want each postcard to be personalized, so I added a merge field.
Everything was fine until I hit "Preview", now I keep getting a pop up that reads "You cannot include DATA, NEXT, NEXTIF or SKIPIF fields in comments, headers, footers, footnotes or endnotes". The merge field is in a text box, but I tried moving the merge field outside of a textbox and I'm still getting the same message. |

Without knowing which template you are using it is difficult to advise, but it seems obvious that the one you are using is inappropriate. Word treats postcards as labels and the standard postcard formats are available in the labels function.

I'm getting this error too. I have never had this problem before. I used a built in text box from "Insert Text Box" and now this is happening.

The simple answer is you probably shouldn't be using textboxes for this but, since you don't say what kind of merge you're doing or where the textboxes are located, more specific advice can't be given.
