Help Breaking Text Within A Mail merge Field
I'm here again looking for some more help ...
How can I break the text in the highlighted merge field between two line. In all cases it is a word (bantam) followed by the numbers (60' / 40')? Before: After: Here is the mailmerge field code I currently have. The value in the field I seek help with relies on the value of the Reline and Change boxes. { if{ MERGEFIELD "r1_relchg" }="" "" { if{ MERGEFIELD "r1_relchg" }="CHG" "{ MERGEFIELD "r1_division" } { MERGEFIELD "r1_base" } / { MERGEFIELD "r1_pitch" }"{ MERGEFIELD "r1_division" } } } |

You need only insert a manual line break:
{ if{ MERGEFIELD "r1_relchg" }= "" "" { if{ MERGEFIELD "r1_relchg" }="CHG" "{ MERGEFIELD "r1_division" }↵ { MERGEFIELD "r1_base" } / { MERGEFIELD "r1_pitch" }"{ MERGEFIELD "r1_division" } } } where the ↵ is the actual line break.

That was easy. Thank you.
Wow. That was it? I expect things to be so complicated that I neglect thinking even the basics.
Thank you! |

I suggest you look at the final { MERGEFIELD "r1_division" } in your field code, too. It's outside the quoted output, so probably doesn't ever show up - in which case it can be deleted.
