Merging Word with Excel
I am working with Mail Merge and my Word document cannot open the Excel file (.xls) that I need. I am using Word and Excel 2010 on Windows 8. What might be the answer to this problem?

How are you trying to open the Excel file?

Thank you for responding Charles. But I seem to have sorted it out. I recreated the Excel file with the thought that the first might have been corrupted in some way. It worked. I was successful with the merge.
