Creating a hyperlink from Control Content Using CRM Word Templates
I am using CRM 2016 which facilitates using word templates for document creation. It uses controls to merge content based on XML Schemas.
My challenge is the content being passed through to the word document when the word template is populated contains a URL. The first issue is that this URL presents as text and not an active hyperlink. The second issue is that I would like to convert the URL to a clickable label rather than the ugly URL. Controls seem to perform as protected components, not something that can be fiddled with. The only options seem to be "Bounding Box" and "Start and End Tag" which sounded interesting however I can not find anything useful that it achieves. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

If this has anything to do with mailmerge, which isn't apparent from your post despite being posted in the mailmerge forum, see Mailmerge Hyperlink ‘Click Here’ Insertion in the Mailmerge Tips and Tricks sticky thread at the top of this forum: https://www.msofficeforums.com/mail-...ps-tricks.html

CRM is technically doing a mail merge in the background. Thank you for your reply, I will checkout that thread.
