Default help with a mail merge

I have searched and can not find a solution to my problem.

I have an Excel spreadsheet that has columns of time formatted in the [h]:mm format. I am trying to do a mail merge and bring them over to Word. But when I do this it does not keep the same [h]:mm format.

For example, in Excel I have 25:57. When moved over to Word I get this
1/1/1900 1:57:00 AM.

Can anyone help??
