Unhappy Directory Mail Merge Trouble

I am still having trouble with completing a multiple directory mail merge. I have watched all of the tutorials but can't figure it out. I have attached a sample sheet if anyone can help me get the multiple equipment tabs on 1 document that will be great.

Thank you

This is a many to one mail merge and is complicated to achieve with a directory merge as you have discovered. However, you could use http://www.gmayor.com/ManyToOne.htm using the first column as a key field and the second as a child field, naming the documents (one for each key change) with the first field.

If you want the documents combined then the current version of the add-in doesn't do that, but you can join them with http://www.gmayor.com/Boiler.htm

so the typical {QUOTE{IF{MERGESEQ}= 1 {SET Key ""}}"{IF{MERGEFIELD State}<> {Key} "{IF{MERGESEQ}> 1 "{QUOTE 12}"} won't work in this situation?

That's not what I said. If you want a tutorial on that method then see Paul Edstein's tutorial from the downloads page of my web site.

The add-in simply makes the task easier.

I must be doing something wrong because when I tried to download your plug in it was blank and I have tried the tutorial multiple times but it does not seem to work either.

What was blank? The download link is at the bottom of the web page. It links to http://www.gmayor.com/Zips/ManyToOneMailMerge.zip
The zip contains a template, an installer and example files.
Read the page for instructions.
