mailmerge labels problem word 2013
I am trying to use mail merge in word 2013 to create labels. I am unable to get rid of a space between the name of the recipient and the first line of the address. Grateful for any answers

This isn't something to do with mailmerge, per se, but with your paragraph formatting. Try changing the paragraph before/after spacing to 0.

Thank you for your response. I should have been clearer in my original message. Paragraph spacing has been set to 0 before and after but there is a double linebreak (space) between the recipients name and the first line of the address. Addresses coming from an Excel spresdsheet database. Has it got something to do with matching the address fields in the Word mailmerge set up ?

I'd suggest not trying to use the structure created via the field matching and, instead, inserting the specific mergefields you want, where you want them.
