Numbered list and if-field problem
Hi Everyone,
For the company I work for I'm creating a word-template using mail merge to automatically fill information in customer contracts. The salesmanager ticks specific boxes, which corresponds with the in- or exclusion of a certain article in the contract. For instance, when a customer wants extra insurance, that article is added in the document using the if-field. If he doesn't, the article is not added. So far so good. But now I have this problem: when an article is NOT added, the corresponding numbered list item is not deleted. It looks like this: Quote:
I would like the document to delete '1.2' when there is nothing on that line. Can anyone help me with this? |

Hi Skip,
That's a known limitation of trying to conditionally displayed numbered list paragraphs. The only practical workaround is to manually number the paragraphs and have everything between '1.2' and 'Delivery time' contained within the IF test.

There has been no change in how Office does this and there is unlikely to be one.
