Default Getting Mail Merge to Start new page

Hello,

I'm new to the forum. I do lots of work with Excel but only have an average knowledge of Word.

I'm a teacher and I'm looking at making class seating plans with pictures. I've done this in the past using the IncludePicture feature but I did it class by class.

Is there a way to look at my spreadsheet and have a field formula that detects when the teacher name changes. When the name change is noted, a new page is created and then the process continues from there? Not all classes have the same number of students.

The Homeroom Teacher's name appears at the top of the page. Student names and pictures appear in cells in a table.

As I said, I'm new-ish to this and this question may have already been answered but I'm not familiar enough with the terminology to do eddicient searches.

Thank you

You can use Word's Catalogue/Directory Mailmerge facility for this (the terminology depends on the Word version). To see how to do so with any mailmerge data source supported by Word, check out my Microsoft Word Catalogue/Directory Mailmerge Tutorial at:
http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...merge-Tutorial
or
http://www.gmayor.com/Zips/Catalogue%20Mailmerge.zip
The tutorial covers everything from list creation to the insertion & calculation of values in multi-record tables in letters. Do read the tutorial before trying to use the mailmerge document included with it.

Alternatively, you may want to try one of the Many-to-One Mail Merge add-ins, from:
Graham Mayor at http://www.gmayor.com/ManyToOne.htm; or
Doug Robbins at https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=5aedc...615E886B%21566
