Word 2003
I have created a certificate of authenticity template for my company. I have used Insert -> Fields -> MailMerge -> Fill In to create automatic input boxes that open when the store employees open the template. We do this to create a painless process for store employees and so they do not accidentally change the formatting of the template. Right now I have input fields for Item Name, Stone Name, and Stone Weight. The problem comes in when there are multiple stones in an item (it is a jewelry store). Right now I have the sentence "The total (xx) weight being (xx)." The (xx) is where I have the input fields of stone name and stone weight, respectively. I need to make it so the employee is asked how many stones are in the item, and according to the number they input, the above sentence is repeated and the employee is asked for inputs for each sentence. Example of what needs to happen: Employee opens template -Asked for Item Name - (this is done, no problems here) -Asked how many stones are in item - enters "3" - Asked the name of stone 1 - Asked the weight of stone 1 - Asked the name of stone 2 - Asked the weight of stone 2 - Asked the name of stone 3 - Asked the weight of stone 3 - Template opens with name of item inserted in text (again, already done) and the sentence "The total (xx) weight being (xx)." repeated 3 times with the name and weight of each respective stone. I appreciate any help you all can offer. Thanks. Chuck |
