Good afternoon. I am having an issue with a date format in an IF statement. The date format will not change to the French date format i have noted in the switch. The switch works for all standalone mergefields in the document but not within the IF statement. Here is the statement:
{IF{MERGEFIELD spouse_name}<> "" " Conjoint(e): {MERGEFIELD spouse_name } Date de naissance due (de la) conjoint(e): {MERGEFIELD spouse_dofb \@"d MMMM yyyy"}" ""} The IF statement works, if the spouse name is populated the field shows. And likewise doesn't if there is no spouse name. But the format of the date is not changing. Does the switch have to be placed somewhere else in the IF statement to work? Your help would greatly be appreciated! |

Hi sbarron,
Your field construction looks OK, though there should be a space between the @ and the ".

Thanks for your response Paul. that was a typo on my part, as i had to type the code in the forum, i couldn't copy the text out of the word for some reason. So I do have the space, and the format still isn't working, so i am not sure where the issue lies as the date format shows correctly if the field is outside of the if statement. I will just have the staff update that one date manually until i can figure this out.
Thanks again for your assistance. Sean |

Hi Sean,
Can you attach a document to a post containing the problem fields (delete anything sensitive)? You do this via the paperclip symbol on the 'Go Advanced' tab.
