Split multi-page mail merge document, then name file from letter info.
So I have a bit of an odd and complicated problem that I'm hoping you guys can help me with. Basically I help out at a law firm, and we have a form letter that we send out to potential new clients when we find out they are getting sued. We have an Excel 2010 spreadsheet that has the information like company name, address, stuff like that, which get imported into the word document. Basically I want to see if there is a way to take the final word document after the merge that is X pages long, and step 1 is to have it split that document into multiple documents at the page breaks. After it does that, I'm curious if there is a way to take each page, and have it save itself, with a file name of the company name in the letter. I'm hoping this all makes sense, and sadly because it is for a law firm, I can't post a copy of the data or letter we are using. If there is anything I can post to help this out, let me know, and if I can share it I will. |
