Mail merge question
Hi all,
Im new to this forum and i hope this is the right place to post my question. I'm making a mail merge, but for some reason, things just wont work to my satisfaction. The idea is to link it to CRM and filter for a temporary address. If one is set to yes, then the home address has to be used, otherwise address from company. This does work, but i dont get the country to fill in correctly. I dont want it to display a country when the country is NETHERLANDS, but otherwise it must fill in the country. Please help me out by checking the whole merge below. It is with Dutch fields, so i hope you can understand. Any help is much appreciated cuz im kind of stuck here. Thanks! |

Hi Saikological,
With the code you're using, the country will always be output, because you have a field code to do so that precedes the corresponding IF test. Analysing your field coding is made difficult by the fact you've simply posted a picture of it, rather than attaching a document containing it. That said, it appears your field code is unnecessarily complicated, with multiple tests of the same condition that could be combined. Some tests too, would appear to be superfluous, as the same results can be achieved using the mergefield /b or /f switch.
