Default Mail Merge a Listing grouped by specific field

I want to take fields from a spreadsheet and mail merge to a listing group by one of my spreadsheet fields, as in the following example.

Group number is either Group 1-Blue or Group 2-Green or Group 3 Yellow
Item number is Unique and sequential numbers are 1-99
When the Group number changes I would like a page break
Result after mail merge:

Group 1-Blue
Item number 1
Item number 2
Item number 9
etc.
Group 2-Green
Item number 5
Item number 7
Item number 12
etc.
Group 3-Yellow
Item number 15
Item number 60
Item number 99
etc.

Where etc. are the other random item numbers

How can I do this?

Hi Karen,

You can use Word's Catalogue/Directory Mailmerge facility for this (the terminology depends on the Word version). To see how to do so with any mailmerge data source supported by Word, check out my Microsoft Word Catalogue/Directory Mailmerge Tutorial at:
http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...ngs-(2000-2010)
or
http://www.gmayor.com/Zips/Catalogue%20Mailmerge.zip

The tutorial covers everything from list creation to the insertion & calculation of values in multi-record tables in letters. Do read the tutorial before trying to use the mailmerge document included with it.

For some worked examples, see the attachment to the posts at:
https://www.msofficeforums.com/mail-...html#post23345
https://www.msofficeforums.com/mail-...html#post30327

Alternatively, you may want to try the Many-to-One Mail Merge add-in from Graham Mayor at: http://www.gmayor.com/ManyToOne.htm
