Default Mail Merge If rules

Hello, I am still learning mail merge field code formatting and I have a problem. I have a 'day' field in my letter and I want to add an 'If' statement that says if the day is >= 4 <=20, add 'th' at the end, and if day is 1, 21 or 31, add 'st'. etc. How do I accomplish this? I know how to do a simple 'if this, else' statement, but since this has more than one 'else' I'm not sure how to set it up.

HELP!! I have an attorney wanting to use this letter ASAP!! Thanks.

Have you looked at "switches"
\*Ordinal

Displays results as ordinal Arabic numerals. For example, { DATE \@ "d" \* Ordinal } displays "30th".
Go here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/wo...CH061047321033

Switches will change your life forever. Good luck!
