Thumbs up Filtering contacts using categories

Hi all
I set up category fields for all my contacts and now I want to use this field to select various groups for letters and labels.
However just about the only field in the contacts table that does not appear in the list of filter fields is "category".
How do I proceed please
Roger Stenson
