Text Box Merge Fields
Hi all, I am trying to create merge fields into a text box, but i keep getting an error message when I try. Basically, I have a form (one similar to a registration form at a doctor's office) and i has a lot of underscored lines for filling out info. If I pull a merge field into these areas it will obviously throw all of the lines out of whack. So, to work around this problem, I created a text box for all of my text, then I overlapped another text box and tried to pull in my merge fields. This doesnt work. I've also tried using a table instead. This works, but I can not figure out how top get a table to overlap a text box. Anyone know if im missing something? Or maybe have any other creative ideas? Thanks!

If you're using a table, you shouldn't need a textbox. Also, you can use a mergefield with a single right-aligned tab, with both underlined. Then, as the mergefield gets populated, the underlined line fills up without expanding into other areas.
