You can't. Simply stop posting to it.

I haven't posted for ages and can still log in. Aside from making a nuisance of myself, how can I delete my account?

You can't. The mere fact you can log on doesn't mean you have to. If you're getting replies to threads you're subscribed to when you don't want to, simply unsubscribe from them.

Understood.

That's unfortunate. The reason I ask is I am trying to clear out accounts not regularly used from my LastPass vault. The way I figure it, deleting them without deleting the account leaves you open if somebody hacks the website (e.g. Mr Excel was hacked. LastPass told me. I updated password. Account is safe). Deleting an account before deleting details from lastPass vault should take care of the security risk.

AFAIK, unless you're perhaps referring to something quite old, Mr Excel has not been hacked.

It was old. Used as an example only that it does happen and can happen to forums. However, I should have thought through what I wrote a little longer. Then again, nobody ever panics about things they read via the internet
