syncing

I do notice once in a bit when receiving / sending email, it will say something like "syncing folders" but it hangs every single time and I have to cancel it out.

Then I notice mail will not come into my gmail account. If I click on the 'Inbox' it shows it to be syncing then the email will load. But I can check for mail again in say, ten minutes, and the same problem exist. I will not get email until I click on the Inbox in the gmail account.

Is there a way for me to overcome this grief?
