I can't mark as solved
I don't have the option in Thread Tools for Solved- I would have done it twice. It would also be nice if the threads could be about an overall problem i.e. this is the result that I want I don't care how I do but maybe some ways produce less nice results than others.

Some of your threads have already been marked as solved by Moderators and/or Administrators. I'm not sure but you may need a greater post count before you can do this for yourself. When permitted, the function is found on the 'Thread Tools' dropdown.
As for: That really is up to those starting and participating in the threads concerned, both as to how the thread is titled and how the problem is described. All too often I've seen threads with a particular method of solving a problem being prescribed by the OP rather than focussing on the outcome. Obviously, though, solutions often need to be quite specific as to the method(s) used and more than one such solution may or may not be suggested.
