Since you created this thread, you should be able to create new threads in any other sub-forums. Did you get any error messages?

Thank you for the reply.
On joining MS Office Forum I was informed that a button labelled "New Threads" is located at the top left hand corner immediately below the word "User CP" however, no such button exist on my screen. When replying to this thread I notice that I am listed as "New (novice) user question", is that relevant. I have attached a screen dump of the screen concerned. |

Since what you have displayed is a search result and you're no longer in any particular forum, you can't expect to start a new thread there. Clearly, though, you were able to find the "New Threads" button in order to start this one...

Thank you for the reply Macropod
My first request was done in the "contact us" box. What I really need to know is where I find the "start new Thread" button |

You'll find it at the top of any of this site's forums.

Hello I'm in the same boat and can't really see much help here... This guy shows you a screen shot with no such "create a thread" or the likes of it. One answer is that he is not in any particular forum. But there is no other explanation.
My answer, which is not very good is to put a reply in someone's else thread, obviously not the right thing to do if one is not giving a reply to that thread...But how else can we do it? I think I have created threads in the past but can't remember how and can't see that button. Really there must be a proper answer for this??? |

I just posted / replied here and after found the solution to get the button you're looking for.
All you need to do is to click on the 'Microsof forum" part of the tree ie: Microsoft Office Forums > Community > Forum Support and this will send you to a page with all the 'fora'! then you pick the appropriate one for your post and this will open a page with that button your want "New Tread" Hope this will help. mm |
