Hello I'm in the same boat and can't really see much help here... This guy shows you a screen shot with no such "create a thread" or the likes of it. One answer is that he is not in any particular forum. But there is no other explanation.
My answer, which is not very good is to put a reply in someone's else thread, obviously not the right thing to do if one is not giving a reply to that thread...But how else can we do it? I think I have created threads in the past but can't remember how and can't see that button.
Really there must be a proper answer for this???
