Default Make Cells Mimic The Formatting Of One Cell

I use an estimating spreadsheet often and frequently have to change colors and style of specific cell all over the spreadsheet. They are the same cells every time, however they are not next to each other, so I have to individually select each cell.l

Is there a way to make specific cells follow the formatting of say A3? Then if I change the direction of font, or the color, or anything in A3, all the other cells will follow.

Thanks.

If marco's are not a problem, you may go for the format painter in a macro. See attached. change format of the input cell and press the button
