I've read through the article, but it explains the basic fundamentals.


What I did do then, was make "Data Labels" with the suggested Wingding3 font and http://www.appspro.com/Utilities/ChartLabeler.htm to speed up the process. When centered, they look like a Data Marker only without the option to outline it in a different colour (not an issue with me). Is this what you were suggesting? (B/c it worked pretty well!)

One more question though. Since it's a bit of a "cheat", is there a reasonable way to show this data label in the legend? (which at this point is just a straight line since there are no data markers)

Hi
The only was you can show the Data Label in the Legend is, again, using a transparent Text Box positioned where you need it.
