Default Automatically change the value of one cell so that two other cells become equal

Does anyone know if I can use a formula to automatically change the value in one cell so that two other cells will have equal values? For example, I want B1 and C1 to be equal numbers. The number in B1 is calculated using a formula and is affected by the value in A1. C1 is calculated with a formula based on various other cells. So, once C1 is calculated, I want the value in A1 to change so that the value in B1 equals the value in C1. Right now, I am just changing A1 manually through trial and error. I would like to automate it somehow.

Thanks for any help that anyone can provide. Let me know if this is confusing.
