Default How to capture start and ending Ref. Nos. in an array

Hi all,

I have an array of data with date, OR No. Code and Fees. My desired output is a recapitulation report that should capture automatically the start and end of OR Nos. on a per-day basis, as well as tally the Fees collected. Note however that, the number of ORs to be issued on a certain day is unpredictable depending on the number of clients. Also, I will need a summarized tally of the collection by Grade Code and total ORs issued per grade level.

The desired output must be in my sheet2 as my main data entry in in sheet1. My desired output is highlighted in green per my attached Query101 Excel file.

Our office issue more than 1,000 ORs every week and manual process is prone to errors and is very tedious. I know Excel can handle this but i am clueless how it is done. Please help.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Kim

well, this is an option you can use, in the sample attached
(note that the formula in the yellow cell refers to the last cell value, it is different from the cells above..)

I do not consider myself an expert... there are more experienced people on this forum than me... but i do know some magic tricks
You will be amazed how simple it is to do what you want:
just select the table you want to move in sheet2, than cut and paste in sheet 2...
and thats all!! excel does the rest...

Hi again Catalin.

Got it now . You make it simple for novices like me - a real help indeed.
And thanks for sharing how it is done. You're much kinder than you're helpful.

Best regards,

Kim

PS/ Been to many Excel Forums. This by far gives the clearest solution and advice. Glad to hitch here finally. Others talk Greek, if you get the drift. . Good day. No offense meant, folks.
