Paste problem
Once I was upgraded to windows 2010 I found I had an issue with the paste function. If I copy anything and then open Excel, I lose the ability to paste what I copied (it does however remain on the clipboard ). Is there a fix for this? |

Hi
Unfortunately I am unable to replicate your problem. I have Office 2010 and it does not happen for me. Can you give us some more information? Tony(OTPM) |

visual aid
Hi Tony
I've attached a document that shows what I'm trying to attempt to do. It shows that all microsoft programs are closed, I copied some text, opened WORD, and pasted (allowed). I then closed WORD, re-copied the same text, opened EXCEL, and attempted to paste...however the paste option was not available...but it shows the text in the clipboard. I hope that helps. If not, let me know what else you might need to see. Thanks! Beth |

Hi Beth
I still can't replicate your issue as it works fine in my version of Office 2010. However looking at your sample pdf file I notice that there are two items on your clipboard in Excel. This may be your issue, what you need to do is first of all select which item from your clipboard you want to paste by clicking on it. The paste button should then activate and you then click the paste button and it should paste into excel. Let me know how you get on. Tony(OTPM) |

bummer. I knew I could do that but I was just trying to avoid that extra step. Thanks for looking into it.
